Save the Closing Dance For Me

| June 11, 2022

Happy Friday, or rather New Years Day for those at camp this week! Our campers woke up to a brisk morning with the Polar Bear Swim call,  then sat down to a cinnamon roll and scrambled egg breakfast. Afterwards, we painted mini flower pots in Arts & Crafts and put together Legos that were gifts from Christmas (also known as Thursday).

With this slightly overcast day, campers spent their time between the Arts & Crafts Pavilion, fishing in the creek, and putt putt golf. It started raining in the afternoon but our adventurous campers didn’t seem to notice as they took turns cannonballing into the swimming pool and later, tried on dresses in preparation for the Closing Dance.

To end our time together, volunteers and counselors transformed the dining hall into a dance floor complete with a disco ball shining from the ceiling and a balloon drop. Our campers had a camp-tastic time dancing, singing, and taking photo booth pictures together.

While we’re sad the camp week is coming to a close, we are so very thankful to families for entrusting us with your campers this week. We had an absolute blast CELEBRATING with them and making up for all the time we spent apart!

Reminder: Camper Check-out is TOMORROW, Saturday 6/11 from 9a-Noon.
