Mega-Fun Monday

| July 12, 2022

After a restful night’s sleep, we began our Monday morning with 51 campers & counselors participating in Polar Bear Swim (a quick dip in the pool!) before fueling up with breakfast.
Campers headed to the lake to catch their first fish of the week, to the Archery Range to see how many bullseyes they could get, and to Arts & Crafts to make decoupage lanterns & baskets to go along with today’s Spring Holiday theme. Some cabins even explored the creek to search for crawdads and others enjoyed trying out the new Putt-Putt course onsite at Camp Horsin Around!
After lunch, our afternoon was busy with lots of swim time, beginning to practice talent show acts during Music Time, and clay sculpting in Arts & Crafts.
For dinner we had chicken fingers & fries before the Med Shed staff awarded Cabin 2 with the “Clean Cabin” Award (the most prestigious camp award) for the day.
Evening activities included camp-wide Bingo before campers learned the Easter Bunny visited each of their cabins and left an egg hunt! We had such a great first full day and are looking forward to tons of Independence Day Themed fun tomorrow.
Don’t forget that you can send ‘Camp Mail’ digitally by following this link: https://forms.gle/coHqgHzNZim1LCrL8 Leave the Cabin # blank if you aren’t sure & we’ll make sure it finds its way to your camper!
