Bereavement Fund

“Losing a child is the most unbearable thing that’s happened to me. Being able to take the financial burden off of families during the heartache of burying their child through Kids Cancer Alliance’s Bereavement Fund is one of the greatest blessings you can give to a family.”
-Rachel, Addison’s Mom & Kids Cancer Alliance Board Member

About the Fund

Losing a child is one of the most difficult situations a family can endure. Through the Bereavement Fund, Kids Cancer Alliance provides support and comfort to grieving families and honors the children who fought childhood cancer so courageously.

Bereavement Fund assistance is available to any family who has been a part of Kids Cancer Alliance programs and whose child is 18 or younger. Kids Cancer Alliance programs are available to all children with a cancer diagnosis who receive treatment or live in Kentucky.

“Without the Bereavement Fund, grieving for our daughter would have been even more stressful than it already was.”

MaKayla passed away at 17 after a ten year battle with cancer. The Correll family was supported by the Bereavement Fund while planning MaKayla’s memorial.

“With the help of the Bereavement Fund we were able to get the casket that MaKayla had picked out.” – Tabitha, MaKayla’s Mom
