Volunteer
Volunteering for Kids Cancer Alliance can be a life-changing experience. Read what some of our volunteers have said about giving their time to KCA:
“I love seeing our kids run, jump, play pranks, and cause general mischief. I say it time and time again, these programs are my cup filler. In times when being the healthcare provider is draining, KCA activities remind us why we do what we do.” Emily, Inpatient Nurse Navigator
“Camp KCA is family to me. I have watched some of my campers start in cabin 1 and now graduate from high school. Kids make lifelong friends and bond over their journeys. There is just so much caring and love in this place. I hope to continue to volunteer at Camp KCA for the rest of my life!“- Tori, Camp KCA Volunteer
“Camp KCA, first and foremost, means becoming part of a community bigger than yourself. Over the years, I’ve gained many wonderful friends and met amazing kids and volunteers. It has made me appreciate the little things in life, as these kids face cancer with incredible resilience. They are the bravest little folks I know.”- Marc, Camp KCA Volunteer
“Camp KCA has become a permanent and meaningful fixture in my life. My husband and I volunteer for every program we possibly can because there is something truly indescribable about the connections you form with the families KCA serves. The community is unlike anything else. It has expanded our hearts and deepened our commitment to serving others. Being part of KCA is an incredible gift that continually reminds us of the power of compassion, community, and showing up for people when it matters most.”– Former Camper & Camp KCA Volunteer

More Ways to Get Involved:
Volunteer at Camp KCA
The magic of summer camp is hard to describe in words, but easy to see once you experience it. Camp KCA volunteers provide joy, hope, friendships, and support to campers and make their camp week truly special. You can create memories that will last a lifetime, and have a lifelong impact on children with cancer and their siblings by volunteering!
Being a Camp Counselor is a week-long commitment. The minimum volunteer ages are 18 years old for our younger week and 21 years old for our older week. To be considered for a camp volunteer position, candidates must complete an application, pass a background check, and complete any required trainings.
