Funday Friday

| July 15, 2023

Happy Friday from camp! Our campers woke up to the sweet sound of the Polar Bear Swim call,  then sat down to breakfast before heading out for cabin & camper choice activities.

Campers spent their morning in the Arts & Crafts Pavilion, at the lake fishing, kayaking, and paddle boating, Archery, and putting their way through the mini golf course. After lunch, we spent the afternoon getting in our last swimtimes of the week, finishing our art projects, and getting final dress fittings in preparation for the dance tonight. We also had a fun visit from a petting zoo that included a couple goats, chickens, and sheep- they were so sweet & loved the attention.

We were treated to an incredible donated Italian dinner from Porcini restaurant before weekly awards were given out and then campers excitedly got all spiffed up for the dance. The Closing Dance was an absolute ball!

While we’re sad the camp week is coming to a close, we are so very thankful to families for entrusting us with your campers this week. We had such a great week and know your campers made lifelong memories and friendships! We hope your family will keep in touch with us at Kids Cancer Alliance and participate in our year around programs. Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for children with cancer and their families and ensure local families  are not alone in their childhood cancer journey.

Reminder: Camper Pick-up is TOMORROW, Saturday 7/15 from 9:00-10:30am.
