Camp Carnival Fun

| July 13, 2023

We typically start our day with Polar Bear Swim, but a group of about 20 campers and counselors choose to wake up at 4:30am to see Saturn, Jupiter, and the M oon through our high powered telescope…it was a really neat and special experience (see pictures below)! We then had our regularly scheduled Polar Bear Swim to wake up the rest of camp. After that invigorating dip, we enjoyed breakfast before kicking off our state fair fun day.

Cabin & Camper Choice this morning included kayaking & paddle boating on the lake along with more fishing…the fish were really biting today! Campers also enjoyed archery, music, and continued their Crafts projects.

After lunch, we hosted our big State Fair complete with a dunk tank and bounce houses! It was an absolute blast! Then, campers got to make their own homemade slime, which in true camp fashion, turned into a slime & water balloon war. It was an ewwy-gooey awesome time!

Hamburger & hotdog dinner was a big hit before we kept the carnival activities going with festival games like ring toss, wiffle ball toss, and balloon bust. And no fair would be complete without nachos, candy and prizes.

Today was a pretty epic day at camp and we’re sure it’s going to be some of your camper’s favorite Camp KCA memories. Everyone is now tucked into bed resting up for another amazing day of camp tomorrow!
