Shelby Russell

Executive Director

Shelby is the Executive Director for Kids Cancer Alliance and joined the team in May 2010. She is responsible for the overall achievement of Kids Cancer Alliance’s mission and goals. Shelby was a camp volunteer and a Pediatric Oncology Social Worker & Child Life Specialist prior to joining our team. When she’s not working, Shelby enjoys tennis, reading, and spending time with her husband and two sons.

Becca Crandall

Operations Director

Becca is the Operations Director for Kids Cancer Alliance and joined the team in May 2019. She is responsible for managing and overseeing the day-to-day functions of KCA. Before joining the KCA team, Becca spent nine years at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kentuckiana in program, administrative, and support positions. Becca spends her free time with her wife, Joycie, their son Henry, and Kate Chastain the Great Dane.

Brandon “Spot” Padgett

Program Manager

Brandon “Spot” is the Program Manager for Kids Cancer Alliance and joined the team in April 2016.  He is responsible for Camps, Retreats, Family Events, and the Financial Assistance Programs. He spent several years working for the Tim Horton Children’s Foundation at Camp Kentahten, as well as summers at Aldersgate Camp and Retreat Center, where he now serves on the camp leadership committee.   He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Recreation, Tourism, and Sports Management, with a Minor in Communications, from Lindsey Wilson College.  He has also served on the Board of Directors and various committees for the Children’s Oncology Camping Association.  Any free time is usually spent with his wife Emily, daughter Maddie, and dog Luna or going on fishing trips and finding concerts to attend.

Lorin McVey

Philanthropy Manager

Lorin McVey joined Kids Cancer Alliance in 2023 and currently serves as Philanthropy Manager. A graduate of Western Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, she brings nearly eight years of experience in development, program management, and advocacy. As a young adult cancer survivor, Lorin is passionate about building meaningful connections and advancing KCA’s mission. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her husband, three boys, and their playful cavapoo, Stella.

Brandon Woehrle

Office Coordinator

Brandon is the Administrative Assistant for Kids Cancer Alliance and joined the team in April 2014. He is responsible for IT needs, bookkeeping, and office maintenance. Brandon is a cancer survivor, alumni of our camp program, and has been part of the Kids Cancer Alliance community since 1993. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Indiana University Southeast. His wife Grace and he have two cats and he loves to play music, board games, and technology.

Allison Pecore

Program Coordinator

Allison Pecore is the Program Assistant for Kids Cancer Alliance and joined the team in March 2023. She is responsible for providing support to all aspects of KCA programming. Allison has a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts Degree from the University of Louisville. She enjoys spending her free time with her four kids, traveling and reading.

Morgan Patrick

Communications Coordinator

Morgan joined the Kids Cancer Alliance team in February 2025 as the Communications Coordinator. In this role, she is responsible for creating marketing materials, managing social media platforms, and overseeing public relations efforts. Before joining KCA, Morgan worked as a Marketing and Development Associate at Easterseals Central Illinois for two years. In her free time, Morgan enjoys reading, exploring Louisville, and spending time with her fiancé and their orange cat, Ichabod.

Jenna Snider

Community Relations Coordinator

Jenna joined the Kids Cancer Alliance team in May 2024 as an Event and Marketing Intern and transitioned to the role of Community Relations Coordinator in 2025. She is responsible for building and managing relationships with community partners. Jenna has a Bachelor’s degree in Communication with a minor in Marketing from Bellarmine University. In her free time, she enjoys travelling, crafting, and spending time with family.
