Whipped Cream Wednesday (Older Oncology)

| July 11, 2019

Wednesdays only mean one thing here at the Indian Summer Camp. Poop Day! Those who are familiar with this holiday know we take it very seriously. We woke up prepared with poop day buttons on deck for any and every camper who celebrated the occasion. We wear our poop emoji buttons with pride along with many others we have collected throughout the week.

We had a great start to the morning with our brave Polar Bear swimmers taking the plunge. For breakfast, we ate waffles, sausage, bacon and cereal! After our campers were full and fueled for the day, they headed off for cabin choice. We had so much fun participating in fishing, boating, crafts and archery. With new fishing records and archery tag high scores, we are excited to see what the rest of the week has in store.

Lunch was provided by Atmos Energy. Our hungry kiddos enjoyed a lunch of burgers, hot dogs, chips & cookies. The meal did not disappoint! After lunch, our campers took turns swimming and doing more art and crafts.

Volare donated dinner tonight. Chef Josh Moore & his team spoiled the campers with a fancy dinner off Caesar salad, Alfredo, Chicken Parmesan and cheesecake. After dinner, our camper headed outside to play on inflatables & participate in axe throwing. We then headed to the pavilion for a drum circle and finished the night with a camp wide water balloon and shaving cream extravaganza. Our kids had so much fun!

After we hosed the campers off it was time for bed. Tomorrow morning is sleep in day and we cannot wait. Our week has been amazing so far and we are looking forward to a few more days of making memories and friendships.

Goodnight from Indian Summer Camp.
